Buy Local

If you're looking for a shopping experience that's off the beaten path and out of the local mall, the area's galleries and stores provide a delightful diversion from national chains and franchises. Each store is independently owed by local business people who pride themselves on offering unique items that feature the work of local artisans—as well as gifts, books, clothing, crafts, and much more.

Mesquite Grove Gallery
371 McKeown Avenue, Patagonia
520-394-2356 or 520-394-0054

Now in its 21st season, the Mesquite Grove Gallery was originally founded as a place for area artists to exhibit the local art that showcases the region's beautiful landscapes and diverse people. Today, the Gallery still features fine arts and fine crafts by area artists and artisans, as well as works from outside the region.

Under the shade of a 100-year old mesquite tree, the Gallery's paintings, pottery, sculpture, and jewelry are displayed in a turn-of-the-century, historic adobe home. After browsing and enjoying the myriad of objects the Gallery offers, you'll have a better understanding of the passions that fuel the local artists of the Mountain Empire to create the colorful quality work they are famous for.
