Buy Local

If you're looking for a shopping experience that's off the beaten path and out of the local mall, the area's galleries and stores provide a delightful diversion from national chains and franchises. Each store is independently owed by local business people who pride themselves on offering unique items that feature the work of local artisans—as well as gifts, books, clothing, crafts, and much more.

From the moment you enter Many Horses Trading Co., you'll be overtaken by a sense of calm and peace. The store's soothing decor is accented by gentle Native American music, and if you're lucky, you might hear owner Helen Byron playing her cedar flute during your visit.

Many Horses Trading Co. is a high-end, specialty retailer exclusively that offers Native American jewelry, instruments, and tribal pieces. The necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and concho belts are unique pieces of art that represent the communities of Navajo, Santo Domingo, Cochiti, Hopi and Zuni. You'll find a range of styles and materials, including beadwork, turquoise, gold, silver, and inlay. The store also carries Native American flutes crafted by High Spirits and a wide selection of Zuni fetish carvings.
