Grayce’s is one of Patagonia’s oldest businesses founded by Grayce Bogden Arnold in 1975 and operated by Grayce until she was passed away at 97 in 2005. Located in an historic old miners home built in 1905, decorative candles, antiques, and unique gifts from the southwest , Mexico , and native cultures may be purchased here. A museum located in Grayce’s former living quarters is filled with memorabilia and dedicated to her memory.

Grayce was a Patagonia treasure lending her creative hand to many civic and cultural projects during her long tenure in town. A well known artist in her own right, Grayce was a painter, sculptor, mask maker, and sand cast candles which she learned from famed artist Ted De Grazia., Recognitions of her life achievements, including proclamations and citations from both home and abroad, are on display. Also on display is the 150 year old great great grand mothers wedding dress that Grayce wore into her late nineties .The locals always ask to see Grayce’s belly dancing apparel as she once taught Patagonians that dance .Grayce’s studio has been restored to display her art as well as provide classes in making sand cast candles and masks .

The facility is available for poetry readings, cultural events and art shows.
