Patagonia:
World-Renown Birding Hot Spot

Welcome Birders!

Locals joke that Europeans know more about Patagonia than do Arizonans do. Why? Many European travelers have been lured by the area's spectacular array of birds.

La Galeria Dia De Los Muertos is a museum honoring one of Latin America ’s most important religious holiday, The Day of the Dead. Celebrated annually on All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day (November 1 and 2), Dia de los Muertos is a holiday commemorating the dearly departed.

This one of a kind museum is recognized by the Smithsonian Institute and the US Library of Congress. Many of the traditional art forms associated with this holiday, such as skeleton sculptures, sugar skulls, and dioramas depicting " life" in the after life are represented in this collection. Death is recognized as the beginning of life, not the end, therefore much humor is incorporated into the displays.
