Robert Parker, editor of The Wine Advocate, has recommended over 20 Callaghan wines in the last ten years. Dorothy Gaiter and John Brecher of The Wall Street Journal recently listed the Callaghan 1996 Fume Blanc as one the twelve most impressive wines of their last two years of tasting. In August of 2000, Le Monde listed Callaghan Vineyards as one of six wineries/winemakers in the United States worth noting, saying, "... astonishing, concentrated and fruity wines. This pioneer symbolizes the spirit of the wines of the New World." The 2004 vintage was quite mild, allowing for great flavor ripeness at lower sugar levels. The resulting wines are rich, plush and capable of providing immense flavor for 7-10 years. Callaghan Vineyards wines is typically compared with other excellent New World wines; not just Arizona wines. Come taste them for yourself. The tasting room is open every Friday - Sunday from 11:00am - 3:00pm. $3 per person includes an 18 ounce, crystal glass. Special events are held several times each year.
